IndraSoft, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Senior Physical Scientist / Chemist who will support the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC) to provide worldwide Force Health Protection services to Naval and Joint forces in support of the National Military Strategy. The NMCPHC provides continued scientific analysis support services, which include health risk assessment, deployment health, health surveillance, population health and health information, preventive medicine, health promotion, health analysis, epidemiology and disease surveillance, industrial hygiene, occupation health and safety and environmental health.

The Physical Scientist / Chemist will be responsible for supporting Public Health initiatives by collaborating with the NMCPHC research community to conduct studies, manage laboratory investigations, and interpret results that will impact Public Health analysis and concerns. The Physical Scientist / Chemist will support direct investigations in lab environments in addition to supporting model development and analysis in support of new investigations.

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor or Masters of Science degree in physical science.
2 year’s experience with immunochemistry analyzers, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS), and liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MSMS) for analysis of forensic specimens in support of drugs of abuse testing.
Knowledgeable in a relevant field of the life sciences and have experience working in a research laboratory or Public Health Organization.
Background in chemistry or medical technology.
Knowledge of forensic drug urinalysis, analytical methodologies such as immunoassay, chromatography, and mass spectrometry, and quality control and quality assurance techniques.
Understanding of writing technical documents, manuals, and standard operating procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, business analytical and problem-solving/trouble shooting skills.
Must have active Secret Security Clearance or higher and ability to maintain clearance.

Qualifications Desired:
Experience with the military or consulting in a DoD environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Analyze and report on specimen data collected by and submitted (with subject PII removed) from sites supported by Navy Drug Lab and NMCPHC associated programs.
Develop reporting practices, monitor adherence to best practices and standard operating procedures.
Execute assigned tasks and share findings with other members of the project team.
Write reports and publications and present findings in meetings.

While performing duties of the job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
