As a HCM Consultant working on the Human Resources Operations team, you will be empowered to serve as a subject matter expert and project lead for the design, development and support of the HCM system, and a typical day will include:

POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The HCM Consultant will participate in creating, implementing, and supporting the Global HCM system and processes that will address current and future Takeda needs
The HCM Consultant will be responsible for consulting with HR and business functions to understand the business problems and needs, and partner with HR Systems and Analytics to create solutions that are agile enough to address both current needs and future requirements.
The consultant will be responsible for managing strategic support for the Global HCM system, identifying alternative solutions, managing the implementation of the appropriate resolutions, and determining long-term impacts of changes to HR technologies and operations.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead and manage the design, development and performance of Takeda’s Global HCM System and related business data and processes.
Identify trends, determine root cause of problems, predict future implications and determine solutions to drive effective business decisions.
Partner with implementation vendor and IT in development of Global HCM data interfaces/systems integration.
Create and maintain assignment for Role and User-Based Security for employees and/or positions in of the HCM system.
Support release management, review release summary and release readiness documents from system vendors, identifying enhancements relevant to the HCM system and impacts to downstream systems.
Manage relationships with HR&A stakeholders to proactively identify and address issues and provide timely support.
Act as lead liaison for system or project-based development and enhancement requests.
Engage HR and other departments (e.g. finance, payroll, information technology, legal, etc.) to understand current and future demands and ensure that HR is prepared to integrate with and support their initiatives, projects, and programs.
Lead efforts to establish, document, and audit clear, consistent, and efficient processes for the maintenance, data integrity and security of HR-related information for employee and non-employee workers including organizational structure management. Implement business process strategies for end-to-end HR processes to achieve efficiency, productivity and improved control.
Create and manage requirements, design, configuration, testing, and support activities for HCM systems.
Manage transition and decommissioning of legacy applications as required, ensuring future access needs, retention, and compliance per business requirements
Provide comprehensive analysis of all Master Data maintained in HCM systems along with all other upstream and downstream business systems, including, but not limited to those supporting sales, IT infrastructure, R&D, Finance, and Payroll.
Design, plan, and execute strategies for increasing usability and integration of HCM system, determine requirements, and plan end-user training and support.
Provide project management oversight for decentralized projects, programs, and initiatives.
Plan, coordinate, and execute testing efforts for changes impacting HCM system.
Lead activities of HCM analysts and other HR Systems and Analytics team members on HR technology projects and initiatives.
Provide direction, mentoring and guidance to HCM Analysts and Sr. Analysts.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Five (5)+ years of experience in the implementation, development, and/or functional support of technology solutions, in one or more of the following areas: Core HCM, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Compensation, Benefits, Performance Management, Goals, or Reporting / Analytics.
Minimum of one year Workday HCM development, configuration, implementation and/or support experience required accompanied by a year of project management in technology projects preferred.

HCM Fundamentals
Workday Core Concepts
Workday Report Writer, Workday Calculated Fields, Advanced Reporting and
Analytics OR Workday Reporting: Basics to Analytics

Custom Fields: Configuration & Administration
Workday Report Designer (BIRT)
Configurable Security Fundamentals
Business Process Fundamentals
HCM Transactions
Onboarding in Workday
Experience on at least one full life cycle Workday HCM implementation preferred.
Experience with Relational Databases (SQL) preferred.
Experience with Enterprise Reporting Tools and Concepts (i.e., Cognos, Business Objects, OLAP) preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Productivity Tools (Office, Project, Visio).
Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Workday HCM certifications preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to travel to various meetings or client sites, including overnight trips. Some international travel may be required.
