Family and Children's Services is looking to add a Psychologist to our talented team. Our team is compassionate about the mental health and wellbeing of our clients and making a difference in our community. All mental health therapists have the opportunity to work with a variety and selected clientele, including children, youth, adults, families, seniors and in schools if desired. Crisis opportunities are available as well.
Under Director of Clinical Services guidance and direction, person performs all duties pertinent to the position Psychologist.
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintains a standard productivity per week.
2. Establishes and maintains a regular schedule Monday – Thursday. Fridays always closed. In-person and telehealth appointments with clients are offered.
3. Collects psychological information about clients through interviews, observations, and tests. Prepares and maintains treatment records and reports using Electronic Medical Record System.
4. Completes clinical and administrative documentation according to requirements imposed by the Agency, contracts, and accrediting bodies.
5. Provides logistical support for Agency front office operations.
6. Attends necessary supervision and Agency meetings based on licensure, credentialing, and Agency requirements.
7. Abides by policies and procedures set forth by the Agency.
8. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to Perform the Job
· Excellent verbal and written communication.
· Ability to think critically, problem solve, remain highly organized, and meet deadlines.
· Ability to provide crisis intervention.
· Advanced knowledge of working with diverse populations including individuals, families, and groups.
· Excellent computer skills, including experience with Electronic Medical Records.
Qualifications
Maintains current full licensure within the state of Michigan. Position has the opportunity to work with a variety of clients. All other doctorate level behavioral health, psychology, and social work degrees encouraged to apply.
