Job Title: Call Center Patient Advocate
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Classification: Full-time, 40 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekends.
Supervises: None
Reports to: Virtual Call Center Director
Grant Funded: Thriving Texas Families (TTF) reimburses salary and fringe based on monthly TTF client percentage served at The Source.
Position Description
Principle Functions: The Virtual Call Center Patient Advocate has responsibility for providing phone call coverage for all Source Clinics. They will support the front desk administrators and provide scheduling support, text chat monitoring, web request response, and community referrals. Intake and spiritual support will be provided as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree in a helping field; social work, counseling, psychology, or sociology, preferred.
- Written and verbal proficiency in Spanish, required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office computer applications.

Essential Job Functions
- Performs all duties in accordance with the Call Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Provide crisis intervention support for each client in an atmosphere of warmth and compassion through listening and helping skills.
- Provide coverage and support for front desk administrators.
- Assist with answering phone calls and web requests for the clinics.
- Schedule clients in accordance with clinic guidelines.
- Complete Athena Registration for new clients.
- Complete client portal check-in (including signing all forms) for new clients.
- Monitor The Source text chat.
- Assist with client intake process as needed.
- Provide spiritual support for clinics as needed.
- Remain abreast of updates to The Source’s referral system and share community resources with clients.
- Provide accurate information about abortion, parenting, adoption, and foster care.
- Maintain all client records as indicated in clinic policies and guidelines.
- Work with and help train volunteers.
- Maintain confidentiality of client’s personal and financial information.
General
- Attend staff meetings
- Complete required training for TTF
- Assist in special events, including annual fund raisers and outreach events as needed.
- Establish positive working relationships with staff members and volunteers.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
