The senior marketing manager is responsible for managing the design, planning, development and implementation of Tarkett’s brand marketing efforts, both external and internal. This position guides the creation of messaging in alignment with Tarkett priorities for internal and external audiences. They will direct and oversee the internal marketing sales support team, as well as external agency partners. The senior manager will lead and perform a variety of tasks, such as the ideation, creation and development of marketing campaigns and collateral, the annual commercial marketing strategy, social media, and persona development and support. This position is also responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of sales support materials, sustainability and social responsibility communication, segment & channel marketing support, and other internal departmental marketing needs.
ESSESNTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct, plan, organize and implement marketing programs, procedures and communications to ensure brand awareness and profitable business growth.
Develop effective strategies that align to strategic communication plans for the company, brand, sustainability, innovation, and customer experience pillars.
Establish key performance indicators for each area of responsibility and each campaign.
Integrate and apply data to measure effective decision making.
Monitor and measure program results against key business measures and adjust programs accordingly to drive desired business results.
Measure customer/consumer/industry perception and feedback.
Manage and execute strategic brand marketing planning across commercial business.
Responsible for the ideation, creation and development and project management of marketing collateral, social media, design, copywriting and other presentations/work as needed. This pertains to commercial, segment, channel, sustainability and other areas as needed.
Support annual thought leadership work through identification, research, collateral development, training, and promotional efforts.
Work closely with design/customer experience and tradeshow team to support all NeoCon activities as well as other strategic events and/or sponsorships as needed.
Responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the internal marketing sales support team.
Responsible for leading and directing the day to day activities of external agency partners.
Work in close collaboration with segment and channel managers, design/customer experience, digital marketing, and sales leadership to define, create and implement marketing strategies that position Tarkett for growth.
Support and implement the Tarkett North America brand strategy.
Ensure all assets and materials developed by marketing communications team, agency partners, and others adhere to global brand guidelines.
Develop and prepare short and long term plans and budgets for the commercial marketing communications team and monitor activities and progress.
Develop and maintain a strategic perspective based on the marketplace and key competitors.
Develop and coordinate the means to seek regular input from Tarkett’s key constituencies to ensure the quality of the communications programs and services.
Provide proactive and reactive marketing reports/consultations to senior leadership, with recommendations.
Build and grow marketing communications talent.
Promote and foster a strong, engaging and positive culture.

REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements):
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or public relations (Master’s Degree a plus)
Minimum of seven years of marketing experience, in communications or public relations with at least 2 years in senior marketing leadership roles.
Experience building and coaching a team of marketing communications professionals, including experience with remote management
Experience directing and managing external agency partners
Confident, driven and dynamic leader
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing a wide range of marketing communication strategies
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas and technologies simply
A wide range of creativity and ability to foster a positive creative environment
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects and strict deadlines
Previous experience developing and managing budgets, training and development of various talent levels a must
Proven ability to thrive in high stress environments
Experience with MS Office, Adobe Creative suite and Microsoft Project
Ability to travel overnight 35% of the time
