Full Job Description

This adjunct faculty member teaches English courses to students pursuing a broad range of Associates in Arts, or Associate in Science degrees.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
Evaluates and advises students
Participates in departmental and College affairs
Develops curricula
Recruits students
Serves on committees
Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Master's degree in English from a regionally accredited institution; or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in English
Must be able to communicate effectively
Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff, and the community
Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include morning, evening, and/or weekend assignments
Must be able to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
