We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Senior Big Data Platform Architect to lead next-generation big data platform architecture to support enterprise big data analytical platforms for various business units across the organization. Candidate will be responsible for developing architecture and deployment plans for Natural Language processing and Artificial intelligence tools on distributed computing platform. Qualified candidates must be well-versed in building Big Data analytical platforms using Containerization and Cloud technologies and Big Data parallel processing technologies as well as the advantages, disadvantages and trade-offs of various architecture approaches.

In addition, the successful candidate should have knowledge and architecture experience with Data Science tools and libraries, Modeling, Machine Learning, Streaming Data and Enterprise Data Warehousing. Must be familiar with agile methods and related SDLC tools. This is a very technical and challenging position with accountability for an overall product portfolio's performance and quality, and is also a leadership position requiring the ability to motivate, mentor and work effectively with other functional organizations.

Work with the LOB business leaders, CTO Leaders, application managers, Enterprise Data Architecture, Information Security and LOB Architects to develop and maintain current and future state architecture for Data Analytics Platforms.
Develop technical architecture for enabling Data Science using industry best practices for large scale processing on and off premise
Serve as the highest-level technical consultant to internal clients and technical management for all things Data Science
Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architectures.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies as it relates to data management and use.
Initiate and deliver technology evaluations and recommendations especially in Big Data/Data Science space.
Ensure the data architecture is optimized for large dataset acquisition, analysis, storage, cleansing, transformation and reclamation
Develop standards and methodologies for benchmarking, performance, evaluation, testing, data security and data privacy
Provide recommendations, technical direction and leadership for Hadoop and NoSQL technologies as part of the overall architecture
Participate in regular status meetings to track progress, resolve issues, mitigate risks and escalate concerns in a timely manner
Contribute to the development, review, and maintenance of requirements documents, technical design documents and functional specifications
Required Skills

Computer Science/Software Engineering (or related) degree
5+ years experience as architecture or development lead in data analytics, data science or platform development
Extensive experience designing and implementing complex solutions for distributed systems
10+ years experience developing software in C, C++, Java, Scala, Ruby, and/or Python
Experience implementing data science platforms like IBM Watson suite of products, Anaconda Enterprise, Dataiku, Domino Labs, C3 AI Suite etc.
Experience working with Big Data and eco system (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, Spark, HBase, Sqoop, Impala, Kafka, Flume, Oozie, MapReduce, S3 etc.)
Experience with machine learning frameworks (like Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn, SpaCy, NLTK, CoreNLP, Gensim)
Exposure to statistical and modeling packages such as SAS, Statistica, Matlab, R, visualization and other advanced analysis tools
Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Linguistics, Advanced Semantic Design
Expert in data management programming such as SQL, PL-SQL, and Python
Experienced leader with excellent communication skills
Excellent written, verbal and diagramming skills.
Expertise in using PowerPoint and clearly articulating findings / presenting solutions
