The Strategic Growth Partnerships Vice President role is a key leader in Deloitte's US Consulting-wide New Business Growth strategy. This role focuses on driving both near and long-term earnings delivered from new High Growth businesses leveraging ecosystem and alliance partners through strategic partnerships. Specifically, the role focuses on leading the development of new ecosystem business models and establishing ecosystem strategies, market activation approaches, governance constructs and the organization to enable ecosystem powered businesses across the Consulting portfolio. This role works closely with key stakeholders including Consulting E&A leadership, NBI Leadership, Network leaders, Alliance Chief Commercial Officers, GreenDot Ecosystem Leaders and Enterprise Portfolio Management and external ecosystem and alliance partners. This role will also directly engage with and participate in the leadership of focused High Growth businesses to activate GTM execution and market traction.
This role unlocks value by driving innovation in Consulting’s high growth business strategy and defining how Consulting curates and deploys ecosystems for competitive advantage while also engaging and supporting active businesses through hands-on ecosystem management support to successfully stand-up the offering. The key success criterion is the incubation and scaling of ecosystem powered businesses that drive value for both Deloitte and our Ecosystem partners and the development of supporting artifacts, resources and capabilities that improve speed to market for High Growth Businesses. The role will also serve as a leader within the Strategic Growth Team partnering with the leader of Strategic Growth Partnerships to lead across the teams supporting the Strategic Growth Partnerships mission and objectives including informing/overseeing team priorities, leading operations and talent, and driving team roadmap planning, and execution.
Essential functions of this role include:
Incubate and standardize ecosystem management governance and processes
Document general ecosystem management “playbook” including key processes, governance, R&R, templates, etc. to be leveraged for various offering teams as they embark on curating an ecosystem for various high-growth businesses
Collaborate across NBI and E&A to develop an ecosystem management approach; coordinate with select center led capabilities such as E&A (DC and Greendot), OGC, QRM, Independence, etc. to capture all key ecosystem management considerations
Drive increased connectivity between solution teams and alliance and ecosystem partnerships to help expand and drive high-growth businesses
Revise and maintain given best practices and lessons learned as various ecosystems are stood up across Consulting
Orchestrate, manage, and drive strategic growth partnerships through ecosystems and alliances
Provide advisory and coordination support to high-growth business teams and their ecosystem partners on an ongoing basis, ensuring progress, alignment around decision-making, risks and mitigation strategies are defined
Establish and maintain ecosystem governance structure, roles/responsibilities, and cadence for regular interactions with ecosystem and alliance partners and deal teams
Define success metrics, establish tracking processes, and manage KPIs and executive reporting
Advise on build/GTM/ecosystem partner decisions for high-growth businesses with clear guidelines, protocols, and governance to enable effective partnerships
Partner with E&A to drive and manage the start-up of the ecosystem
Lead collaboration with external partners to test and/ or actualize ecosystem activities
Drive direct market impact by supporting individual offering ecosystems
Manage interactions with internal and external ecosystem leaders, facilitating leadership discussions, negotiating agreements as needed, and driving progress on co-development, go-to-market, and marketing activities
Clearly define end-to-end sales enablement process to help drive “speed to market” with key partners for key high-growth businesses and their ecosystems
Support market activation of key high-growth businesses by helping to shape the ecosystem strategy, define Go-to-Market and sales enablement activities, and enable Network support
Be a leader/ influencer within Strategic Growth Partnerships, NBI, and beyond
Help define and oversee Strategic Growth Partnerships team priorities, strategic planning, and desired outcomes across team members
Champion broader organizational fluency and successful leverage of high-growth hybrid-enabled models and strategic partnerships throughout NBI and Consulting at large
Learn and maintain excellent understanding of and relationship with related internal functions to advance team charter; maintain fluency in independence restrictions in the specific context of asset-enabled offerings and partnerships
Maintain strong demonstration of junior following (formal coachees/ informal mentees seeking guidance/ groom upcoming talent), indicated by both number and success of "followers"
Offering network focused and ecosystem powered capabilities to innovate new businesses across the Consulting portfolio. Focused both on long term capabilities as well as direct engagement with select high priority, high growth businesses across the Consulting portfolio to drive and actualize the Consulting growth strategy.
10 years + of relevant, program/stakeholder management experience, progressively advancing experience
Strong business acumen including working experience in business strategy and project management
Demonstrated knowledge in high-growth business models/constructs, sales enablement, and both the management consulting and technology industries
Established relationships with key stakeholder groups (e.g., Asset leadership, Alliances, etc.) that can be leveraged to execute the requirements of the role
Previous market/client-facing experience and leadership on client pursuits/selling, including ecosystem/alliance management
Familiarity with Deloitte solutions, products, and offerings
Familiarity with Deloitte organization and proven ability to navigate and coordinate across networks
Familiarity/experience with Deloitte ecosystem and alliance partners
