This position is a leadership role in a Global Security Services Team that advises and assists clients in matters related to the security of ERP, middleware, and database environments. This team is responsible for positioning and selling security products, implementations, and managed services. The position will be in charge of development of client facing security architecture, strategies, solutions, and collateral.
The candidate is responsible for being the security spokesperson, supporting the sales team on deals where security is engaged: and for the generation of security related marketing and sales collateral. The ideal candidate has experience in running security, audit and compliance consulting practices, and/or serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at a Fortune 2000 organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Be the spokesperson for Rimini Street on client security and compliance management
Position and sell Rimini Street security solutions and services
Continue to grow the Global Security Services practice by expanding and adding new programs, products, and projects.
Create and establish products and programs to be sold
Work as a part of a thought leadership team on security best-practices for the protection of enterprise systems
Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, threats, solutions, and activities that could affect the products supported by Rimini Street
Identify security solutions and providers with the best solutions for client specific security vulnerabilities, concerns and risks
Take ownership of and resolve security and compliance challenges that arise during the sales, account management, and support cycles where vendor provided security vulnerability patches are no longer available to the client
Work with prospects and clients to develop security and compliance strategies that follow best practices in the mitigation of security threats, vulnerabilities, and risk, while comprehensively securing the supported enterprise systems and adhering to the clients’ regulatory requirements
Work closely with sales to establish deal strategies, track engagements, and ensure the delivery of all resources required to support sales and renewals
Guide the sales and marketing efforts to generate client facing collateral that addresses concepts and topics that are encountered during the sales cycle
Assist client onboarding team with documenting and articulating to prospects, the processes and controls utilized to securely establish remote access for the delivery of client services
Provide basic training to sales and marketing, account management, and support personnel on applicable security concepts and topics and educate them on Rimini Street and security solution provider capabilities
Develop relationships with security companies and research firms to ensure the delivery of security services and solutions to Rimini Street clients
Assist clients in the selection of controls and the development of control statements and practices to support their compliance requirements
Successfully engage RSI client to manage and cultivate relationships with both clients and colleagues
Experience in project leadership for security implications of an ERP project
Demonstrate responsive and excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MBA or related field or equivalent experience
Continued education on current security topics and solutions
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing security and security consulting teams
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in security industry
Extensive experience managing audit teams and compliance programs
Extensive experience securing Oracle and SAP environments
Extensive experience working with third party auditors
Industry recognized thought leader, active in Information Security Community
Ability to secure the confidence and credibility with clients on sensitive security matters
Comprehensive Understanding of and experience with domestic and international compliance programs (SOX, HIPAA, PCI, FDA, NIST, ITAR, GDPR, etc.…)
Experience running security, audit and compliance programs and consulting practices
The ability to resolve and address client issues and problems in a timely and effective manner, involving project management as appropriate.
Ability to work closely with, support, and train the sales and marketing organizations
Passionate focus on customer support and the ability to build long term, successful working relationships with clients, prospects and partners
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work calmly and professionally in high pressure situations
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills demonstrated by the ability to quickly assimilate new information, understand complex topics sometimes with incomplete data, and arrive at sound analysis and judgment
Excellent project and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Desired Qualifications
CISO or similar role at Fortune 2000 company
Ability to travel to client sites. as needed
Ability to work, scale and drive results in a dynamic, evolving environment
Experience with modern security approaches for enterprise software including virtual patching
Certification in Information Systems Security preferred (examples include CISA or CISSP)
