Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Docket Specialist to join our Intellectual Property Patent Support Unit (PATSU). Under the supervision of the Regional Manager of Patent Support Services, the Docket Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining all areas of the patent computerized docket system. The Docket Specialist will also have daily contact with and receive guidance from the practice group lawyers and staff they support.

Key responsibilities include:
Coordinates all areas of the CPI database including:
All information pertaining to each specific application and docket due dates, and remarks.
Incoming domestic and foreign client related communications.
Incoming Patent and Trademark Office communications filed in the Patent office.
Processing delivery of incoming electronic communications pursuant to departmental procedures.
Providing docket, status, and maintenance reports to patent personnel and lawyers.
Experience and qualifications:
High school diploma and a minimum of one (1) year of docketing experience or equivalent knowledge of patent processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Excellent written and oral communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
Time-management and organizational skills to prioritize work and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work well under pressure in a collaborative team environment

For positions in Washington, D.C., the salary range for this job posting is: $56,708.00 - $90,732.00
The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
