Patient Account Representative needed for an expanding Home Infusion company. Full time position, 40 hours/week. Competitive Pay and Benefits.
Applicant must be proficient in the following areas, with at least two to four years of experience or secondary education:
- Financial Medicare Collections of Patient Accounts
- Medicaid (including Bayou Health Plans) Collections
- All Private Insurance Collections
- Worker’s Compensation Collections
- Excel and Word
Applicant must also have excellent communication and math skills, be a self-starter, able to multitask and meet goals and deadlines. Previous Home Infusion or Home Health experience a plus.
Job Description:
Follow up on all insurance claims billed within 35 days of billing with follow up every 4-21 days until paid in full. Post payments. Calculate, transfer and bill secondary insurance or patient balances. Resolve insurance denials and underpayments. Prepare appeals and corrected claims as needed. Balance cash posted with cash deposits at month end.
