Clinical Administrative Assistant
Overview:
Square Care Medical Group, LLP in partnership with Unified Women’s Healthcare New York is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, compassionate, and dedicated individual to fill the position of Clinical Administrative Assistant in our boutique Gynecology and Functional Medicine office that focuses on women’s overall wellness. We offer several specialties with 70 providers across 20 locations and are a recognized leader in our industry.
In this role you will be responsible for performing various administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the practice runs efficiently. These duties include validating patient identifiers, preparing patients and rooms for examination, measuring, and recording vital signs, and collecting other lab samples. Administrative duties include scheduling appointments, answering phones, and performing data entry. This candidate will assist in promoting a positive patient experience as outlined in our mission, vision, and values.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greets patients warmly and professionally and communicates clearly
- Escorts patients to exam rooms
- Cleans and stocks exam rooms
- Measures and records patient vital signs (i.e.; weight, blood pressure)
- Prepares patients for exam, records reason for visit, and related information
- Educates and supports patients with information relating to services provided
- Follows all medical group guidelines for collecting and documenting information in EMR
- Assists management in maintaining medical inventory and placing orders for supplies as needed
- Reviews and maintains all inventory for accuracy
- Assists in gathering historical patient data, tests, etc. from outside service facilities
- Scans and processes data in patient medical record
- Reviews and responds to messages and tasks within EMR
- Documents medication and supplies utilized for billing purposes
- Answers phones, schedules appointments, and performs administrative tasks
- Obtains prior authorizations for services
- Maintains all compliance standards as determined by the Medical Group
- Performs other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least one year of experience preferred
- EMR and Microsoft knowledge preferred

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Hours Vary
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
