Administrative Assistant I - Opt K1

Under general direction, serves as staff assistant to the Criminal Investigation Division Manager and a Division Liaison to government officials, the public, management staff, and Departmental Offices. Independently performs complex assignments, analytical research and studies relating to investigative operations. Serves as the Division Liaison with the Revenue Anti-Fraud Team; serves as the Division's Law Enforcement Grant Coordinator; serves as a Human Resources liaison. Composes new and revised criminal prosecution plans, investigative reports of criminal prosecution cases and proposed annual budgets for the Division; serves as timekeeper for Division staff. Travels to attend meetings.
Minimum Requirements: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration. Requires one year of professional experience in public or private organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program. Requires ability to exercise judgment and discretion in developing, implementing and interpreting departmental policies and procedures. Requires ability to analyze administrative problems and adopt an effective course of action. Requires ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Requires the ability to travel. Prefers extensive knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
