Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists with various procedures and provide quality care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office's front desk when needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or similar setting
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and recording medical histories
- Familiarity with medical coding and electronic health records systems like Epic
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients
- Certification in Dental Assisting is preferred, but not required
