Medical Billing Specialist

Northeast Florida Health Service Inc dba Family Health Source DeLand, FL

Full-time $16 - $21 an hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Reviews claims for proper coding and format - Submits electronic & paper claims

Identifying & troubleshooting claim denials/rejections.

Interpret insurance EOBs for remarks and denial reasons.

Use insurance payer portals to research claims, check eligibility and appeal denials.

Reviewing AR Reports to resolve unpaid claims.

Payment Posting.

Review patient accounts for proper outgoing patient bill balances.

Participates in educational activities and staff meetings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
