Loan Processing Officer

Processes commercial real estate loan documents and performs various ancillary documentation duties.

Primary Responsibilities

Create shared drive file for applicants, create sub-folders for application and financials in departments file format.
Coordinate with Loan Officers to order preliminary title reports, UCC searches, business and personal credit reports, flood certificates, appraisals, environmental reports, and tax returns verifications (if SBA).
Review preliminary title reports.
Utilize Credit Quest to coordinate and order loan documents from the Loan Documentation department.
Coordinate with Title & Escrow companies and arrange with borrower for the signing of loan documents.
Review closing instructions, signed loan documents, and prepare wire transfer forms for funding.
Prepare document package and boarding instructions for transfer to Central Loan Department for boarding.
Review and approve Title Policies and endorsements.
Meet with Contractors and Borrowers to review disbursement guidelines for construction loans.
Monitor and disburse all FNB Commercial and Residential Construction loans, including: reviewing the contractors draw request, ordering inspections, inputting and balancing FNB line item spreadsheet, obtaining and reviewing all Conditional and Unconditional lien releases, and disbursing funds to contractors and vendors.
Assist and Back-up support for SBA Servicing actions.
Coordinate with the Loan Officer, SAD Manager and SBA the liquidation of defaulted loans, and the payment of the SBA guarantee.
Assist in the preparation and coordination with various Bank examiners, auditors and reviewers.
Interact with new and current Bank customers regarding their loan status, history, payments, be involved with problem resolution with clients and be able to explain the SBA process and requirements in a clear manner.
Field incoming sales calls from prospective Bank customers. Query prospect regarding needs and determine how best to meet the needs.
Complete applicant's SBA application documents for submission to SBA.
Order, prepare, organize and review SBA and construction loan documents from Central Loan Department.
Complete SBA Authorization (Loan Agreement) for review.
Ensure payment of the SBA guarantee fee.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Additional duties include the monitoring and disbursing of commercial and residential construction loans.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or a minimum of three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
