Web Industries, Suwanee, GA (, a recognized industry leader providing innovative contract manufacturing services for flexible materials is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to improve process capability, reliability and mistake proofing; supporting acquisition, installation and use of new equipment; and provide oversight and support of facility changes.

A successful Manufacturing Engineer candidate will add value through:

  • Design and implement robust, reliable processes that eliminate the potential for human error (mistake proof) to ensure safety and product conformance
  • Facilitate and lead improvement activities and provide project management support to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand their changing needs and implement solutions
  • Use Problem Solving techniques, Lean, and Six-Sigma tools to lead teams in corrective actions, continuous improvements, visual management and safety improvements
  • Conduct detailed gap analysis on all aspects of manufacturing performance
  • Implement technology and/or training solutions to improve operator capabilities
  • Work with teams to create, revise and release process documentation
  • Manage and support build, installation, and acceptance testing of production equipment

Job Requirements

  • Effective communication and a willingness to be on the manufacturing floor
  • Ability to work and contribute in a diverse team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering/Technical discipline
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in process/quality/development engineering
  • Preference for Slitting/Spooling and/or Composites Processing Experiencing
  • Project management knowledge and experience
  • Functional knowledge and experience using Lean, Six-Sigma and Risk Management methodologies
  • Able to create production flow layouts, interpret blueprints, technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
