TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

CID Bio-Science, Inc. is a manufacturer of scientific instruments for plant physiology research. With a unique product line tailored to the needs of field researchers, CID Bio-Science products are sold to universities and research institutions worldwide. Our Felix Instruments – Applied Food Science product line offers similar technologies for commercial growing and packing operations. We are a 22-person company founded in 1991. Our headquarters are in Camas, WA, just outside of Portland, Oregon. This will be a headquarters-based position.

Strategy

Work with the company President to chart the direction for the continuous evolution of our IT infrastructure.

Development

Customer facing IT development projects will completed in conjunction with the engineering department.

Management

Manage the assets and subscriptions for IT related products.

Consultation and training with world-wide customers in-person and via email and skype will be the primary responsibility of the Application scientist.

  • Sage 50 ERP for Manufacturing

Skills required:

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Technical writing skills

Skills Desired:

  • - HTML / CSS / Javascript / PHP5+ / ASP.NET / Python3 / Django
  • - Nginx / Gunicorn / Apache
  • - SSH / Git / version control
  • - Office 365 / Dynamics 365

  • - Advanced hardware / support troubleshooting.

Immediate Projects:

  • Mailchimp to Dynamics migration
  • Website overhaul
  • Orderlist migration to Dynamics
  • Time lapse viewing of data from fruitmaps.com
  • Migration of RMAs from Access to Dynamics

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year

Required travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
