Come join a friendly and diverse clinical team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Residential Counselor at our Worcester site.

Worcester Community Housing provides long term housing, support and treatment for families in recovery from addictions to drugs and alcohol. The primary goal and purpose for this program is to provide a coordinated set of activities which assist families to stabilize in housing, attain long term sobriety, reunify with their children, and obtain the skills and supports they need to live in their apartments.

The Residential Counselor works with clients to assist in activities of daily living and foster a sense of safety in the program. The Residential Counselor runs evidence-based groups, completes required paperwork, and carries a caseload of clients to facilitate the implementation of their treatment plans. Providing case management services for up to ten families in a thirty-eight apartment community living program for formerly homeless families in recovery from substance abuse.
Documentation of case management in electronic record.

Weekly meetings and phone contact to monitor progress in the service plan.

Attendance/participation at staff meetings, supervisions and trainings.

Facilitation of 1-2 weekly educational groups for our residents

Position includes outreach to families
Conduct phone check-ins
Document of services provided
Maintain up to date client records
Be a liaison with outside service providers
Participate in team meetings and required trainings.

Grade 5- Residential Counselor I: HSD/GED/HiSet required; Associates degree preferred

Grade 6- Residential Counselor II:Requires a Bachelor’s degree; preferably in the field of psychology or human services

1 years experience with residential or community substance abuse programs

Current valid US-issued drivers license and ability to provide registered, inspected and insured automobile for work related purposes including transporting clients in their own vehicle or a company vehicle

Must be able to pass a CORI background check
