DPK is seeking a qualified person to join our UAS Department. As one of our Licensed Drone Pilots/Visual Observers – you will be under direct supervision of DPK’s Chief Pilot for training and field operations and learn to use drone's ion support of our survey services. You will also be trained on how to process data to deliver to clients.
You must already have your FAA Part 107 license to apply for this position.
This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement based on experience and demonstrated skills. As a Drone Pilot, you will operate unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to capture data, perform aerial inspections, and conduct land surveys. Additionally, you will work with terrestrial LiDAR equipment and support field crews in gathering information for surveys. The candidate needs to show interest in the land survey field and be prepared to work in the field most of the time.

FAA Part 107 remote Pilot Certificate

High School Diploma or equivalent

Relevant certifications

Previous experience as a Drone Pilot a plus

Any knowledge in Drone Thermography or Mapping is a plus
Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in operating various types of UAS and related equipment.

Strong understanding of drone flight controls and GPS systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience:

DPK will provide training to candidates who have at least one year of professional experience operating UAS.

Proficiency required in the following software: Pix4D, MetaShape, Terra, Global Mapper, QGIS, and Google Earth.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in the following software: Trimble Business Center, Trimble RealWorks, Autodesk Civil 3D.
Work Environment:

The role requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and at different times of the day.

Travel to different states may be necessary.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry drone equipment and accessories.
