As an Associate Consultant, you will serve as the primary technical resource assigned to deliver to migration-related projects for our clients. In this role, you will execute project work ensuring best practices are followed and project deliverables are completed on time. The role also works with other team members on the Global Advisory Services team to include Project Coordinators/Managers, eDiscovery Architects, and other leadership as appropriate.
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas: Electronic Discovery Workflow, Information Governance & Record Management, Litigation Readiness & Response, Search & Analysis and/or Case Law & Legal Education.
What You Will Do:
Execute on client engagements and other projects when required, including assessing client's current discovery practices, identifying gaps (impact time, cost and risk) in those practices, analyzing alternatives, and developing and implementing tangible and actionable strategies and business processes to address gaps.
Perform legal technical duties on client engagements including, but not limited to, Email Migrations, Data Remediation, eDiscovery and Information Governance initiatives.
Identify workarounds for specific issues and corner scenarios observed during migration(s).
Automate solutions and streamline workflows where appropriate.
Drive and participate with tactical client project duties, including execution of project scope and approach. Demonstrate Lighthouse principles and models to realize future opportunities.
Foster a climate that supports relationship building and collaboration at all levels throughout Lighthouse.
Successfully manage multiple concurrent projects while keeping team leadership informed of status, potential project risks or pending issues.
Maintain a detailed analysis of project workflow metrics and reporting analytics for client chain of custody and defensibility of executed work.
Research current technology trends and make recommendations to improve efficiency and system capabilities.
Maintaining relationships with existing clients or referral sources which can either lead to expand roles on existing or new engagements.
Strategic project management duties when requested including:
Determination of project scope and approach;
Development of a work program where appropriate, and implementation of such in conjunction with the project management team, sales team and the allocation of tasks to each participant in the project;l
Control of total consultant time and out-of-pocket expenses on the assignment either against a predetermined budget or based upon prior experience on similar assignments;
Billable hour utilization;
Drafting of engagement reports, affidavits, or expert reports, or the review of such reports generated by Project Managers or other Consultants;
Serving as the escalation contact with the client when necessary or on a day to day basis for engagements.
What You Will Need:
Advanced technical and/or legal education/certifications desired.
1-3 years' experience as primary technical resource responsible for projects for large enterprise(s).
Flexible work style; comfortable in fast paced, challenging environments.
Strong knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas: electronic discovery, litigation support, business process consulting, records management, content management, email archiving, IT system management, or business integration. Preferred experience working with clients in mid-to-large size sector. Must have managed mid-level projects and played a senior role on larger projects.
Significant business development and marketing experience to attorneys and corporate buyers.
Excellent computer and analytical skills.
Outstanding oral and written skills, with the self-confidence, assertiveness and appearance to make presentations to individuals or groups of client personnel.
Self-starter, who is independent, a creative thinker, and common sense oriented, with the ability to exercise good judgement and operate in an unstructured environment.
Strong knowledge of industry leading eDiscovery and email archive platforms, including (but not limited to): Microsoft O365, Nuix, Relativity, Exterro, Clearwell, EnCase, AccessData, Enterprise Vault, EMC SourceOne, Zantaz EAS, AXS-One.
Deep technical familiarity with structured, unstructured, and semi-structured source data types including: Forensic images, email, text based logs, loose physical files (text, audio, and video formats), team share sites, SWIFT transactions, network captures, and database tables.
Strong knowledge of server hardware (physical and virtual) and storage solutions for enterprise. Must be able to scope resources, configure for optimal performance, and be compfortable working across multiple platforms. Thorough familiarity with Windows domain architecture and operating systems.
