What you’ll be doing...
The 2D Volumetric Engineer will be working with a small applied R&D team to improve new video technologies using computer vision to be streamed over the Verizon network. Responsible for doing R&D using computer vision frameworks like tensor flow to help turn ideas into solutions that the team or other stakeholders can deploy internal and externally. You will help the team expand its exploration into computer vision R&D.
Helping set up development environments and processes.
Working with Lead Engineers on implementing CV techniques into a large scale R&D architecture.
Writing white papers on technique inventions which can be applied outside of the team.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
Three or more years of experience in the computer vision field.
Masters or PHD in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
Experience working with 3D reconstruction algorithms.
Experience working with capture of 3D video data from different types of capture devices.
Extensive experience in one or more deep learning frameworks.
Computer vision background and Machine Learning application to video processing.
Knowledge of camera calibration.
Experience working with NVIDA CUDA toolkits.
Knowledge of prototype algorithms and applications in Python, C/C++.
Experience working with video-based open source software like OpenCV.
Abilityto understand Docker-based workflows.
Experience with visual object detection/recognition/tracking, 3D vision or semantic segmentation.
