Reporting to the General Manager or designee, responsible coordinating the work activities of the auction safety program in accordance with corporate and security guidelines policies and procedures. Perform all duties assigned by the General Manager or designee. Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times by persons under their jurisdiction.
Job Description:Responsibilities and Duties:
Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner and advise the General Manager or designee of all serious complaints or incidences.
Manage safety, health, and environmental programs for the assigned location.
Support auction management to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal safety standards and ensure that company policies and procedures comply.
Monitor facility and processes for adherence to OSHA/EPA guidelines and the elimination of industrial accidents.
Ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of safety regulations, posting and compliance with all licenses, permits, reports and legally required posters. Perform safety compliance audits.
Follow accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs.
Maintain liaison with outside organizations, such as fire departments, mutual aid societies, and rescue teams to assure information exchange and mutual assistance.
Investigate accidents/incidents to determine the root cause and recommend action to eliminate future problems.
Conduct safety inspections and recommend changes in systems and procedures to maintain a safe workplace. Coordinates safety activities of unit managers to ensure implementation of safety activities throughout organization. Submit all accident/incident documentation to Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Department upon completion.
Provide prompt and courteous service. Demonstrate friendliness and greet every customer as they enter and participate at the sale. Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work environment consistent with the Handbook.
Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention for all contacts and transactions.
Make sure all Department employees are thoroughly familiar with procedures for handling all aspects of customer service.
Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, including investigations, inspections and audits; bulletins; schedules and accounting from the General Manager, Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Department, designee or other corporate sources. Conduct employee safety meetings at least once a month or as necessary to communicate Company and Department safety goals and issues while building teamwork among the employees.
Advise Facilities and General Manager or designee, if necessary, of all breakdowns and maintenance needs immediately.
Educational Requirements or Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with one (1) to three (3) years experience in safety and minimum. Safety training certification, OSHA 10 Hour, required. Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements: Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, Machine Operators (including inspection) positions .
Physical Working Condition: This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, moderately elevated ambient noise levels, and minor potential physical hazards, such as electrical, mechanical equipment, cleaning and pesticide chemicals; and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with car exhaust, internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.
