We are looking for a Technical Fire Protection Project Manager to join our experienced team of experts in the Baltimore/ Washington, D.C. area.

Job Responsibilities

As a Technical Fire Protection Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects and maintaining quality control for fire alarm and life safety projects by utilizing your technical knowledge and expertise. Ideal Candidate will have a strong background in the fire protection industry with knowledge of NFPA, IBC. Experience in layout and design is a plus.

Additional responsibilities of the Technical Fire Protection Project Manager include:

  • Strong Fire Protection experience with strong knowledge of NFPA and IBC code standards.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships. Calling customers when rescheduling is necessary, or customers require update of job status. Routing and/or research of customer inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships.
  • Constant updating and prioritizing of technicians schedules, including working with other dispatchers to provide the most efficient response to customer’s needs.
  • Booking of service calls, including setup and update of site notes.
  • Mange jobs and budgets across all horizontal offerings: Mid-sized Projects, Operations & Maintenance, and Service.
  • Communicating closely with management in regards to callbacks, technician problems, customer inquiries, etc.
  • Communicates and collaborates with other internal departments.
  • Maintains proposal logs.
  • Processes billings weekly. Tracks and communicates with customers on outstanding invoices.
  • Ability to read drawings.
  • Processes permits as required to jurisdictions and assists with the coordination of inspections as needed.
  • Prepares and sends out project closeout documents.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Technical Project Manager position, you must have exceptional customer service and a professional demeanor, be tech savvy, have high attention to detail and previous experience working in a fast pace environment.

Additional requirements of the Technical Project Manager Position include:

  • Must have previous experience and knowledge of Fire Protection and inspections.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve with a high sense of urgency.
  • Exceptionally detail oriented - able to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
  • Highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task.
  • NICET or Industry training/certification is preferred.
