Manager Implementation

The Manager Implementation is responsible for the implementation and project management of newly acquired clients, including leadership of a diverse cross-functional team responsible for implementation functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze implementation of new products and client benefits, determine the appropriate implementation approach and lead project plan development inclusive of the following elements: comprehensive WBS (work breakdown structure), change management, communication, risk management, stakeholder analysis, and resource management
  • Develop and execute the tactical plan for client implementations including, but not limited to, the development of timelines, documentation, work methods, and performance standards associated with the implementation process
  • Coordinating, leading and motivating a cross-functional team in coordination with the client provided project manager or point(s) of contact
  • Oversee the implementation of pharmacy benefit programs including eligibility, accumulator files and member communications
  • Responsible for effectively communicating with all project stakeholders, including but not limited to regular project updates and regular project meetings as outlined in the project plan
  • Serve as the implementation point of contact for the key project stakeholders until the client’s benefits are fully implemented
  • Perform client needs assessments, customize plan designs and configure systems in coordination with other internal departments to meet applicable requirements
  • Work with applicable internal teams in the pre-sales phase to determine the best solution for a particular customer to assure the feasibility of the technical solution and how it will meet the customer expectations
  • Provide consultative support to other operational departments by researching concerns or questions to make appropriate recommendations
  • Overall responsibility of ensuring client satisfaction throughout the implementation process
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree; proven industry experience will be acceptable in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ account management or project management experience
  • A knowledgeable individual with appropriate industry experience, preferably in the healthcare, insurance or PBM industry
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills
  • An excellent facilitator who is experienced in conflict and dispute resolution
  • A decisive individual who possesses an organized and strategic focus, as well as an operational, implementation and detail oriented perspective
  • A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
  • Ability to work with peers in a team effort
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision
  • Strong data analysis and report preparation skills
  • Ability to independently identify, research, and resolve issues
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays pursuant with industry demands
  • Willingness to travel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Leadership experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and occasional local and/or overnight travel, including exposure to heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Mode of transportation for travel typically will include automobile and plane.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
