The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Software Developer Undergrad Intern for an internship opportunity. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

The qualified candidate will become part of the Engineering Applications Department. The Engineering Applications Department (EAD) develops a wide variety of software applications and performs analyses for engineering needs to support civil, commercial, and national security space systems. EAD works with organizations seeking solutions for orbit visualization and planning, collision prediction, launch monitoring, anomaly investigation, structural analysis, modeling, simulation, and many other facets of space systems.

Key Functions

Design, implement, and maintain software for a variety of engineering applications, helping engineers solve space and ground system engineering problems using graphics visualization and analysis, graphical user interfaces, mobile computing, and database interface
Participate in a number of software development activities that may include stand-alone or web-based
Participates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partner
Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.
Training and mentorship will be provided.

Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, Aerospace engineering, or a closely related field
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Minimum GPA 3.0
Must be able to obtain a security clearance
US Citizenship required


GPA 3.5 or higher
Active security clearance
