The Systems Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for a variety of infrastructure systems internationally as part of the Global Shared Services organization. Platforms managed by the team include cloud services, virtualization, Windows and Linux servers, storage, backups, authentication services, and databases. Our team strives to provide actionable solutions engineering to meet the demands of Catalina’s global business. The incumbent for this position will report to the Manager of Systems Infrastructure Engineering.


Engineer and manage the installation, configuration, and tuning of Windows and Storage platforms
Engage in Catalina’s technology roadmap development
Build a risk model to identify key performance risks and manage/mitigate effectively
Provide analysis of Windows and Storage environments, both physical and virtual, and perform necessary actions to avoid deficiencies and interruptions of service
Manage external vendors/outsourcing partners as appropriate to enhance the team’s execution capabilities
Participate in the budgeting process and manage projects to tight financial goals
Develop and maintain financial investment guidance models for performance specific investments to ensure effective use of capital
Engage with the EA function to ensure that designs are in line with the needs of current and future platform requirements
Manage and provide current platform usage statistics and provide future project growth estimates
Lead efforts towards storage consolidation and cleanup
Develop and maintain platform life cycle management methodology
Create, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent provisioning, uptime, regulatory compliance, and data protection
Serve as the technical lead for resolving complex incidents and problems related to Windows and Storage systems
Respond to major incidents, SWAT calls, and other conference calls in support of IT business processes
Configure and maintain data replication, mirrors, and snapshots between primary and offsite locations for high availability and D/R purposes
Develop backup and recovery procedures and participate in recovery testing and D/R exercises

Technical expertise in Windows systems management – Server 2008, 2012, 2016
Experience engineering and managing fiber channel SAN environments
Experience engineering and managing IP-based storage delivery – NFS and SMB
Expert technical expertise in Storage systems management – NetApp
Automation experience leveraging tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Salt, or SCCM
Professional scripting experience with languages such as PowerShell, Python, and BASH
Bachelor’s degree in Technology or equivalent experience
Strong technical, leadership, communication, and financial skills
Vendor certifications from Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, and NetApp are a plus

Experience working with public cloud providers
Experience supporting virtualization (VMware & Hyper-V) environments
Experience with Linux servers
Experience working with and troubleshooting network configurations utilizing multiple VLANs
