The Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to Department Executives and Advisory Board Members of the Loudoun County Community Services Board.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Anticipate and address the needs of executive leadership and independently perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure efficient and effective Departmental workflow; manage the time requirements of the Dept Director
Assess inquiries directed to the Department Director and Executive Staff, determine the proper staffing of inquiries and track the status of action items
Independently initiate, organize, and implement systems and procedures to efficiently manage administrative processes
Research matters, collect and analyze data, and write memos, letters, and reports which may be complex in nature, utilizing independent judgment
Collaboratively work in small teams to improve departmental operations by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting opposing views of team members
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma
Requires a minimum of six (6) years of related experience
Demonstrated experience of effectively interacting with senior management
Demonstrated experience operating in a fast paced results driven environment
Must have a working knowledge of standard office equipment, to include multifunctional devices and audio-visual equipment and must possess advanced skills with Microsoft Office 2013 programs
Exceptional oral and written communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills
Project a professional decorum that represents the Executive Team and Advisory Board when interacting with colleagues, those we serve, and the Loudoun community at large
Candidate must be available to work occasional weekends and evenings, until 8:00 PM.
Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30AM until 5:00 PM.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, child protective services check, credit check, driving record check and TB test. HIPAA, Human Rights, Incident Reporting and OSHA (Bloodborne Pathogens) trainings are required.
Valid driver’s license with a driving record that is acceptable to county insurers; the driver must remain in good standing with respect to his/her driving record.
