Big Ass Fans is looking for an experienced Firmware Engineer for our Lexington, KY headquarters.
Design, develop, and debug hardware and software using microcontrollers and other digital components
Identify and implement improvements for existing software
Participate in peer code reviews
Develop programs in low-level and high-level languages
Prepare flowcharts and block diagrams for software design review
Prepare software architecture and test plan documentation
Plan work and provide input to software development schedules
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation
Perform other duties as necessary
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years of related experience
Excellent programming skills with experience in embedded system design and development required
Familiarity with embedded firmware development tools and extensive experience in debugging
Excellent documentation practices and communication skills
Commitment to maintaining project schedules and delivering tasks on time
Ability to work collaboratively with a team
