American Express is looking for a Manager, Business Blueprint & Banking Strategy, which will focus on initiatives that contribute to the company's focus on cash-flow and digital financial products for small businesses.
The products, originally designed by the Fintech startup Kabbage, are offered to millions of small business owners to streamline actions that could help them grow their businesses, such as managing cash flow, receiving payments from customers, and acquiring business funding.
Kabbage was acquired by American Express in 2020.
What you’ll be doing:
- Define and drive “customer first” culture in the business and bring continuous awareness of who our customers are, how they’re engaging with our products and how this contributes to our goals through regular business-wide presentations and other communications mechanisms.
- Identify and champion cross-functional projects, working with colleagues in Product, UX, Analytics and research, that reduce customer friction to increase product utility, profitability, and satisfaction.
- Gather, observe, and analyze data from across the Blueprint enterprise to identify sources/causes of satisfaction and dissatisfaction and develop business cases for addressing.
- Evaluate existing satisfaction and behavioral metrics, develop new ones as appropriate, and implement standards for evaluating project funding and prioritization.
What you should have:
- Substantial work experience in financial services. Experience in fintech is a plus.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Familiarity with various customer research methodologies and analytical approaches
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize insights/research findings into actionable product requirements and project scope
- Experience with establishing standard metrics & reporting and synthesizing for company understanding and use.
- Experience creating improvements in high level customer flows

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
