Financial Controller

The successful candidate will have an accounting degree (CPA preferred), public accounting experience, ability to do both detailed accounting and overall management, working familiarity with MIP or similar accounting software, and excellent communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overseeing A/P, A/R, GL, managing cash flow, performing monthly reconciliations, and preparing financial statements
  • Managing payroll process and reporting
  • Reconcile and follow up with property managers on financial reports/accounts
  • Working with committees to prepare annual operating and capital budgets
  • Supervising of accounting staff and assisting in HR functions
  • Monitoring and reviewing investment accounts and preparing reports for custodial account holders
  • Managing and coordinating annual audit
  • Ensuring integrity of office and accounting backup procedures
  • Implementing and maintaining internal controls and external compliance (Federal and State)
  • Advising and resourcing constituent churches
