SAIC is seeking an Agile SE / Scrum Master to work with government customer Agile teams in a complex systems development environment. As the Scrum Master, you will be empowered to help guide an experienced cross functional team and be responsible for leading Agile best practices using Scrum/Kanban. In addition to leading Scrum and other Agile meetings, you will also be responsible to ensure Scrum is understood and enacted, work with team(s) to solve problems and to drive continuous improvement and business owner satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Organize and facilitate all scrum related meetings (stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews, demos, etc.)
Work with the team to develop project plans, roadmaps and manage program backlog.
Communicate team plans, report impediments for escalation, identify risks/concerns to relevant stakeholders and assist with resolution.
Monitor program backlog and ensure it accurately reflects the current state of the sprint.
Work with product owners and stakeholders to refine vision and establish goals and metrics.
Track and communicate team velocity and sprint progress to all affected teams and management.
Organize and facilitate the product release by following all the governance standards.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
14 years of experience with BS degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or math, or equivalent years of work experience
Must be SAFe certified
5+ years of Scrum Master experience
4+ years of experience leading both Scrum and Kanban Agile Teams
4+ years of experience as software Release Train Engineer or Scrum of Scrums Master
Current professional certification in Agile Methodologies (RTE, Scrum Master) from a recognized SAFe Agile certifier
- Certified scrum professional (CSP) or similar certification from Scrum Alliance
- Capability to adapt to fluid situations and prioritize tasking in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to facilitate larger sessions or events for product planning, etc
- Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments
- Superior interpersonal oral and written communications to support interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, external stakeholders, and development contractors in a range of positions, including many at very senior levels
- Experience with space or ground systems acquisition processes, preferably in the OPIR, GEOINT, SIGINT or Communications domains
