Guest Service Agent Full Time
Rate of Pay: $18.45/hour

Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii... Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel currently has an opening for a talented Full Time Guest Service Agent to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.

Brief Summary of Job: Responsible for serving guests at the front desk while providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient courteous and professional manner by following Marriott standards of hospitality and adhering to guidelines and procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
____ Maintain a friendly cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing
personalized service to guests.
____ Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
____ Accommodate guests by making them feel welcome informed and cared for during the entire length of their stay.
____ Anticipate and respond to guest needs.
____ Handle all aspects of guest registration which can include: expediting the check-in/check-out process; following hotel rate structures discounts and selling strategies; issuing room keys; informing guests about hotel features and amenities as well as local attractions; and satisfying special requests whenever possible.
____ Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations check daily event sheet bulletin boards and be up to date with all changes new procedures and events.
____ Have knowledge about room rates packages discounts and promotions and know how to handle each.
____Maintain and understand special guest programs and franchise related programs.
____ Find solutions quickly and confidently address and resolve guest concerns.
____ Distribute faxes packages and mail to guests for delivery or inform guest of receipt as necessary.
____ Answer phones according to service standards and within 3 rings.
____ Full understanding of the Front Desk system for all guest services.
____ Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best
overall performance of the department restaurant and hotel.
____ Perform other duties as assigned requested or deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Proficient in Microsoft applications. One (1) year experience front office experience preferred. Ability to speak multiple languages preferred. High school graduate desirable.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: Must be able to communicate in English with guests management and team members to their understanding. Ability to provide legible written communications. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
