Summary Tie warp ends on loom with use of tie-in machine. Pull warps over.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Study warp board for warps to be tied.
  • Move machine to loom.
  • Load tie frame.
  • Lace warp ends in loom using tie-in machine.
  • Lease ends.
  • Form elements to tie in.
  • Record completion on warp out board.
  • Clean and oil machine.
  • Keep wheels free of lint and washer.
  • Perform work safely.
  • Lease out and lay in smash and hang when no warps to tie.
  • Perform other duties as needed by department supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
