Albright College, a liberal arts college in Reading, PA, is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Dean of Students. This person will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations in Community Standards, International Student Office, and New Student Orientation under the leadership of the Dean of Students.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Community Standards:
a. Receiving reports and creating and maintaining student files and disciplinary records in the conduct coordinator program.
b. Scheduling appointments with students.
c. Preparing necessary paperwork/forms for meetings.
d. Creating/printing letters in a timely manner and submitting to the Dean of Students for approval and signature.
e. Follow up with students/various departments regarding the status of sanction completion.
f. Create summary reports as needed for Dean of Students.
2. International Student Office
a. Maintain student listing of all international students.
b. Update and email international update each week.
c. Assist students with questions and scheduling appointments with the Dean when necessary.
d. Prepare paperwork/letters for students.
e. Maintain SEVIS records to ensure students are active and in status.
f. Sign i-20s for travel.
g. Organize International Student Orientation and submit room reservations/set up requests.
h. Work with various departments for orientation and for direction for international questions throughout the academic year.
i. Assist the International Student Association (ISA) e-board with planning for meetings, trips and events throughout the academic year.
a. Various support duties such as room reservations, set-up, printing of name tags.
4. Additional duties:
a. Administrative coverage for Senior Vice President’s office when necessary.
b. Assist with the birthday bash bags for the Center for Community Service and Engagement: receiving submission, placing orders and following through with delivery.
c. Responsible for entry of departmental data information into appropriate documents.
d. Receive incoming calls, provide information, or refer callers to the appropriate individual or office.
e. Performs data entry in several computer programs including Excel, Access, Word, etc.
f. Greet visitors, determine their needs, and direct them to the appropriate office or individual.

3. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
a. Three to five years of related professional experience required; experience in higher education or employer recruitment preferred, ideally working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
