We are looking for a Receiving Clerk to join our growing team.

Since 1973, we have maintained our position as a leader in the wholesale distribution industry and offer first-class service to customers in the residential and commercial plumbing industries, as well as, home builders, interior designers, remodelers, and homeowners. We operate eight branch locations and nine showrooms throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

Function: Unload all incoming trucks and enter received inventory into computer; place in designated area as required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule all incoming freight deliveries in a timely manner, never refusing a delivery without proper authorization.
Unload all incoming freight and verify accuracy of Bill of Lading. Verify all received material to packing slip and receiving report for accuracy;
Advise manufacturer and purchasing department of any shortages, damages, or problems with the order; put proper Rec/AP notes on purchase order.
Properly tag special material and put in proper location in warehouse; Maintain pick ticket with notes stating special order location.
Put material up and get received in computer in a timely manner.
Rotate stock on product when required (i.e. glue, pumps, and fiberglass)
Place all pick tickets in designated file according to shipping/ pick up instructions
Assist with LTL shipments when necessary;
Assist other departments during peak times.
Keep aisles free of debris and other material;
oSweep floors regularly

oDispose of trash daily/place in proper containers

Report all damaged material found in warehouse and yard immediately; Also report any damage to equipment immediately
Keep pallets that are for warehouse use and/or disposal separated and stacked neatly; keep yard clean of debris and damaged product.
Observe all safety rules and regulations; wear proper safety equipment
Other duties as assigned
You are expected to fulfill above guidelines, cooperate with all PDI associate and contribute to the TEAM SPIRIT.
Position Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Candidate must be detail oriented and have good communication skills.
Mincron skills a plus
8-10 hours standing required
Ability to lift 75 lbs
