About This Role:
The Learning and Development unit in the Division of Human Capital Services (HCS) is seeking applicants for a Learning and Development Consultant primarily responsible for delivering, planning and executing various training programs and events.
Deliver group and individual training, including professional modalities such as face-to-face, online or hybrid.
Coordinate Learning and Development offerings, including the university supervision certificate, online training, and a variety of face-to-face training.
Conduct assessments/instructional analysis to ensure conformity with mission training objectives and K-State 2025.
Manage a variety of events such as New Faculty and Unclassified Professionals orientation, Coffman Leadership Institute and other professional development conference under the direction of Learning and Development director.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Requires an associate degree and one year of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Education
Experience using a variety of technology programs (i.e., Qualtrics, PowerPoint, Prezi, Excel, LiveBinder, etc…)
Experience with statistics, data analysis, and report development
Experience with social media platforms
Experience in event planning
Experience in higher education setting
Experience delivering effective training programs
Ability to initiate and maintain professional working relationships with diverse groups and individuals
Ability to multitask, communicate effectively and professionally, and to work collaboratively
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
Demonstrated ability to promote the organization’s mission and vision
Knowledge of training and development best practices

Please note: the minimum salary for this position is $37,401. Actual salary will be determine based on the candidate’s experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding. Salary offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range. The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression.
