Ideal Candidate

We require an extremely talented and well versed General Manager who can step in and hit the ground running from day one. Ideally you have strong business organizational skills, an extensive background in sales, food & beverage catering and events nationwide as well as excellent customer service. Ideally you are organized, detailed oriented and able to lead a winning team of passionate and dedicated artisans.

Do you possess the proven ability to drive sales, to hire, mentor and lead a team to outstanding results while meeting KPI’s and building efficiencies?

You will need to be profficient in the software programs - CATEREASE and NOWSTA in order to take on the responsibilities of the daily management, production, budget setting and reporting along with RFP management and sales.

Job Description

  • Operate the business, expand the existing market, manage the team, meet and exceed monthly KPI’s;
  • Build efficiencies, continue to streamline internal infrastructure to increase profit margins;
  • Be profficient in the on going and daily RFP management, contracts, bookings and payments;
  • Manage and control event budgets - projected vs actual;
  • Implement the sales and marketing teams and strategies to achieve the KPI’s;
  • Drive all aspects of sales, promotions, advertising, and catering sales initiatives;
  • Develop the key team members in Production, Sales (and Sales Channels) and Accounting;
  • Mentor and guide the team;
  • Project manage the on-going population of all costs, clients, production notes, historical data and other details into Caterease software;
  • Manage, direct and oversee the continuation of the population and use of Caterease;
  • Hire the right high end customer service focused team members;
  • Provides clear and concise communications to everyone having ownership in the success of the events
  • Gather from multiple sources, manage, input and respond to all Request For Proposals (RFP’s);
  • Send all RFP quotes and contracts to clients via Caterease;
  • Follow up on all proposals, contracts and clients;
  • Ensure all production budgets are set and inputted accurately;
  • Create BEO and relevant production supply needs for the production crew;
  • Runs the full packing list, the Run of Show (ROS) and pertinent instructions for all event managers in the field;
  • Problem solve and delegate various event related issues on the spot;
  • Meet monthly sales KPI’s and profit margins;
  • Implement the sales and marketing teams and strategies to achieve the KPI’s;
  • Develop the key team members in Production, Sales (and Sales Channels) and Accounting;
  • Mentor and guide a sales team developed by you in the key sales channels as well as oversee the production team and successful execution of events.
  • Run weekly company meetings and provide weekly reports to the owners;

Mandatory Skills

  • Having experience in high end beverage service, hotel events and or event sales and management;
  • Business organizational skills;
  • Working knowledge of the beverage service and catering industry preferred;
  • Relationships with NATIONAL hotels, catering firms, DMC’s and Event Planners preferred;
  • MUST have a comprehensive EXPERT skill level using CATEREASE in order to mentor and instruct team members;
