The film/digital production intern will directly coordinate with Communications on a variety of videography projects to support branded content for social media and internal communications. The internship will be both educational and practical. The position will provide a solid understanding of the role that digital communications plays in a non-profit setting. The individual will be better prepared to work in a marketing communications department or advertising agency within the non-profit or for-profit sector. The intern will also have opportunities to network with other areas within the organization, visiting sites and working with other corporate departments.
Essential Requirments: The film/digital production intern should exhibit strong filmography skills and a proven capability for developing powerful, brand-driven “short stories” in a video format. He/she should have proven knowledge and capabilities in social media and an understanding of branded content. Strong editing skills.
Essential job responsibilites include:
The intern will collaborate with the social media manager to identify Ecumen stories that differentiate our brand for internal and external platforms.
This intern will learn about the housing and services offered by Ecumen and the special attributes of our dedicated employees.
We will ask this intern to create a 3-month videography plan to support a specific content objective for one or more of our social media platforms.
Participate in professional networking while working with innovative leaders in senior services.
It is expected the Intern will demonstrate professional behavior in all aspects of the internship including but not limited to Mobile Device and the use of technology, Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), attend New Employee Onboarding and Networking (NEON) and attendance.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education: preferably senior in college
Relevant Experience: other related work experience; short films; social media
Current valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance (if applicable)
Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
Other knowledge, skills and abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
Able to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
Based on funding from the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) for this position, a candidate must meet the following qualifications:
High school diploma
Student must be enrolled in, or graduated from, a Lutheran Educational Conference of North America (LECNA) School, OR be an active member of an ELCA congregation, OR have a connection to the ELCA. For example, participating in a youth program at an ELCA church, or attending one of the following listed schools:
St. Olaf College
Gustavus Adolphus College
Concordia College, Moorhead
