Director of SSD Sales

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for PNY’s SSD business
  • Overall responsibility for the management, forecasting, revenue and sales goals


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent; MBA a plus
  • At least 12 years previous sales experience, in a technology environment
  • At least 5 years managerial and supervisory experience
  • Excellent oral, written, communication, and presentation skills, including ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to successfully influence people at all levels
  • Significant experience with creating and managing business plans
  • Ability to problem solve where there is no precedent
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel at least 50%

  • Develop and manage strategic business plans for SSD business
  • Develop sales strategies, revenue targets, product and budgetary forecasts and management goals for SSD business
  • Regularly provide information to VP of Sales on SSD business activity, forecast and direction
  • Provide advice on complex, sensitive or controversial matters regarding sales relations, strategic planning, or coordination of personnel
  • Create and oversee the management of and evaluate the SSD sales programs
  • Keep current with market conditions and potential to determine customer needs, volume potential, pricing and competitive landscape
  • Evaluate sales reports (sales volume and potential sales); recommend appropriate adjustments to business direction
  • Identify and communicate business goals and sales quotas to Executive Management.
  • Approve bid pricing on volume purchase opportunities, in conjunction with product market management
  • Conduct regular business plan review and performance evaluations with direct reports and customers to ensure company goals and strategies are understood and being achieved/implemented
  • Work closely with key vendor partners to manage product roadmap, and sales strategies to drive toward #1 market share
  • Work closely with Planning and Procurement to help monitor forecast and inventory flows
  • Assist with projects
