Position Overview:
This role is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of the Active Directory infrastructure including Trusts, Group Policies, Replication, Global Catalog, and Distributed File System. This individual will provide routine server and storage capacity and performance metrics. As well as, assist with the planning, development, and implementation of best-practices for server, printer, and remote user support activities. They will utilize scripting solutions to automate routine server and configuration tasks.
Responsibilities:

Windows server administration for Active Directory, DC, file and print sharing, web services, and application servers

Diagnose hardware and software system problems and initiate corrective actions

Effectively manage incoming customer requests and incident tickets in a timely manner
-
Coordinate with application developers on technical problems in their area of responsibility

Execute capacity and performance data collection, monitoring, and reporting
-
Evaluate and provide Active Directory expertise to project and project management service
-
Assist with current Domain Certificate Authority and PKI environment
-
Support interface and coordination with O365 environment
-
Support and actively participate in annual Disaster Recover Planning and Execution
-
Assist with other team support responsibilities including laptop/desktop, network management, VoIP and call center software, and A/V systems with respect to Active Directory

Assist IT management in developing short and long-range plans regarding use of computing resources

Assist with evaluation of new computing technologies
-
Assist with peer and customer training in the administration and use of hardware and software tools

Available for 24 x 7 on-call support

Other duties as assigned by management
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Knowledge Required
-
Seven (7) years minimum of Microsoft Windows Server/ Active Directory administration (2012 R2, 2016)

Extensive knowledge of VMWare, servers, server software, and storage environments
-
Extensive knowledge of IIS, Active Directory, group policies, file and print services
-
Knowledge of backup strategies and tools for large storage environments
-
Experience with scripting and automating system administration processes
-
Understanding of PowerShell scripting and automation
-
Ability to think logically and act decisively in critical situations
-
Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities
-
Knowledge of client/server network protocols
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate complex computer/information systems information into an organized and presentable manner

Ability to make decisions and manage your time effectively to a delivery plan/schedule

Ability to work independently, but also be part of a team
