Job Summary:
In developing the infrastructure for a robust program that supports the health and well-being of our clinical workforce (physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, etc.), the Peer Support Program Manager is a critical team member supporting the Office of Clinician Well-Being. This position aligns with Wellstar's strategic goal of Celebrating Culture within the organization's workforce. Reporting to the Director of Operations for the Office of Clinician Well-Being, the Peer Support Program Manager is responsible for managing a system-wide peer support program. Essential duties include conducting and organizing initial and annual training in Stress First Aid, Psychological First Aid, and other evidence-based support programming with volunteer peer supporters. This also includes managing peer support software administered by RLDatix (no prior experience with this software required), triaging those in need of peer support, making appropriate referrals for those with more acute needs, and following up with supporters and supportees in order to appropriately close the request. Duties also include developing and enacting policies, procedures, and pathways related to peer support, coordinating communications, marketing, and socialization regarding the peer support program, as well as a basic level of collecting, analyzing, and presenting data related to the utilization and effectiveness of the program.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Operations
- Manages peer support software
- Manages triage and pairing of clinicians requesting support and peer supporters
- Conducts follow-ups with both supporters and supportees to ensure quality support was provided
- Manages the data that is collected in the software and ensures confidentiality and protection of information
- Organizes and schedules all programming related to Wellstar system adverse event support
- Develops and enacts policies, procedures, and pathways related to peer support across the health system
- Approaches the program with a population health plan and mindset in order to achieve large scale positive outcomes
- Collaborates with the departments of Safety Quality to identify clinicians who need peer support
- Collaborates with the Cares program, Spiritual Health, Behavioral Health, Spring Health, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate support and triage occurs Education and Training
- Becomes trained in PFA, SFA, and other evidence-based support programs (if not already)
- Becomes trained as a trainer of PFA, SFA, and potential other evidence-based support programs
- Leads educational workshops, lectures, and role plays in order to train others in PFA, SFA, and other evidence-based support programs
- Assesses competence to provide support in clinicians and the Wellstar workforce
- Organizes and schedules outside educators and asynchronous trainings for clinicians and the Wellstar workforce as needed
- Designs education support programs
- Records trainings and workshops in order to provide training asynchronously
- Travels to Wellstars hospitals and outpatient clinics to provide education and training Data collection, analysis, and presentation
- Collects data related to the peer support program
- Conducts basic analysis on the utilization and effectiveness of the peer support program
- Presents data to various stakeholders, including high level executives, on the utilization and effectiveness of the peer support program
- Partners with the Office of Clinician Well-Being Program Analyst and Biostatistician to design data visualizations and conduct more advanced analyses to show the effectiveness of the peer support program
- Has the opportunity to present data at national and international conferences Communications, marketing, and socialization
- Disseminates information related to the peer support program across the Wellstar system
- Collaborates with Clinical Communications, IT, and other departments to distribute communications
- Helps design and develop content for communications related to the peer support program
- Leads socialization of the peer support program through written and in-person communications
- Travels to Wellstars hospitals and outpatient clinics to socialize the peer support program
- Supports the team through other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Education: -
Bachelors Nursing or Masters Nursing-Preferred
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a nurse working in a healthcare setting Required and
Minimum 3 years of experience in health education Required and
Experience with population health Preferred and
Experience with triaging either patients or clinicians with behavioral health needs Preferred and
Experience with data collection, analysis, reporting, as well as oral and written presentation of analysis Preferred and
