Solomon Group is searching for a talented and experienced Event Producer to add to our rapidly expanding team. This is a full-time position based in New Orleans, Louisiana but there is some flexibility on location.
The Event Producer, Live Events is responsible for the management of events from planning stages through final invoice, including: collaborating with clients to achieve their goals of the event; floor plan management; writing work orders; working with internal departments to ensure work orders are completed; overseeing the set-up and tear down of events; and generating event organizer invoices.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of production experience that includes a variety of successful events in diverse environments. At Solomon Group, we work on several productions at once. So you must be quick on your feet, motivated, willing to travel, and enjoy new and creative ways to employ your skill set. A flexible schedule is also a must, since most of our projects take place during nights, weekends and holidays.
Partnering with account management and participating in conceptual and production planning meetings and provide project status (including potential risks) to the teams;
Acting as the main point of contact for all production related matters on the event related to planning and execution;
Owning & Distributing all key production information throughout our organization, vendor partners, and freelance team;
Creating and driving internal and external timelines at a macro level (high level checkpoints) as well as a micro level (by task during load in, event execution, and load out);
Overseeing the internal production process for Live Events from conception to execution, load out, final billing, and preparation for the next year’s event;
Ensuring vendor partners not only provide a quality product but also integrate seamlessly into our operation;
Selecting & Coordinating operational vendors such as F&B, FFE, site infrastructure & security
Reviewing vendor and venue contracts
Responsible for the overall budgets and margins of Live Events while maintaining quality products and services for our clients;
IDEAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The ability to effectively lead and motivate a Live Events team;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Superb interpersonal skills and overall positive attitude;
The experience and ability to create and manage budgets;
Demonstrated the ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously;
Work effectively under pressure while maintaining a demeanor reflective of a leader in control;
Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
