We have an opening for a Receptionist/Dispatch Clerk (Part time)

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday

Hours: 3pm - 11pm

The Receptionist/Dispatch Clerk performs critical communication services and a variety of routine clerical and administrative work in receiving and dispatching routine and emergency information; keeping official records; and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the communication center of the campus.

The Receptionist/Dispatch Clerk represents Saratoga Retirement Community while projecting an outgoing, friendly personality to residents, visitors and staff. The Receptionist/Dispatch Clerk serves as the first point of contact to visitors, vendors, staff and residents, and is responsible for answering all inquiries in a professional manner that is consistent with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities
Monitors telephones and radio at the command center, answers all incoming calls, and ascertains nature of the call, gathers all necessary information to transmit, relay or transfer to appropriate ext.
Monitor the resident medical alert computer system (Guardian), Fire Panel & Campus wide 911 calls in accordance with the instructions in the receptionist handbook.
Helps provide security for SRC by screening all visitors to the campus. Monitor Security Video System, locking and unlocking IL doors through Stanley PAC System
Dispatches emergency medical services for emergency and non-emergency responses; broadcasts nature, location, and time of incident; contact all required personnel. Manages Emergency procedures, acts in a calm manor during emergencies in accordance with the instructions in the receptionist handbook.
Maintains on-going contact with the responding emergency response personnel and keep them informed of all incoming pertinent information.
Qualifications
Must have the ability to handle stressful & fast paced situations.

Must have excellent communication and computer skills

Must be able to work independently without supervision

Must have prior dispatch or receptionist experience handling multi line phone system
