Gatorade warehouse supervisor position with rotating continuous operations schedule on day shift 6am-6pm
Responsible for ensuring each employee assigned to their shift is present, works safely and follows all Plant/DC HSE, TPM, GMP and Company Policies
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations and manpower planning in the areas of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and sanitation
Manage training efforts for each new hire. Provide WMS training as well as any other pertinent training for new hires assigned to their shift. Complete Forklift Certifications.
Will require time across all shifts as back-up for other supervisors during vacation and sick days
Tracking and providing feedback on employee productivity, attendance and disciplinary status.
Assigning daily work assignments as well as ensuring completion and quality of those assignments.
Ensuring on-time completion of inbound and outbound shipments
Maintaining safe work practices through perpetual observation, weekly safety audits and safety training
Performing Supervisor counts in WMS to investigate inventory discrepancies
Perform daily warehouse walk-through to determine any maintenance/sanitation issues that must be resolved
Lead daily team meetings
Execute all TPM programs in the distribution center
Monitoring the accumulation of product on the palletizers to prevent any delays for production
Communicating any WMS related issues on the floor to Inventory Control.
Allocate and trouble shoot loose case picks to ensure they are completed prior to order appt. time
Maintain AIB standards throughout the warehouse
Ensure compliance with all OSHA and HSE regulations
Enter requisitions for repairs or items needed in a timely manner to ensure repairs are complete and vendors are paid
Will require 75%-80% floor presence to provide accessibility for the associates
All other duties as assigned
3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or related supply chain function
As part of a high performance work environment, each supervisor will be expected to actively pursue core skills to progress through the resource competencies model
Must be able to lead and direct a diverse work force
Requires technical skills in the areas of warehouse management and overall supply chain operations
Ability to conduct assessments, audits and evaluation to measure progress
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Must work and participate effectively in a team environment with diverse personalities as well as gain credibility with team members
Must possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with team members, customers and regulatory officials even under negative circumstances Must possess effective oral and written communication skills as well as effective decision making and problem solving skills
Highly self-motivated and self-managed, with excellent prioritization and organizational skill.
Must possess strong analytical skills including problem resolution / analysis.
Ability to communicate effectively, internally and externally, to all levels of management.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
