Mechanical Maintenance Technician

This is a 12-hour shift. Two week schedule - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun, Wed, Thur.

The primary focus of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician, will be to repair and maintain all plant equipment as effectively and economically as possible while being consistent with plant policies, safety practices and procedures. The person in this position will constantly drive to minimize overall maintenance costs. Maintain plant equipment and report equipment concerns and any additional information as required by the Maintenance Manager. Responsible for the preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and for maintaining proper records for the same. Responsible for the calibration of electrical equipment and for maintaining proper records for the same. Responsible for adhering to electrical policies, practices and procedures as defined by the plant. Responsible for promoting safety awareness and keeping safety as a number one priority on a daily basis. Responsible for promoting a working environment that incorporates a teamwork philosophy. Responsible for the repair of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. Responsible for assisting the production department in new equipment installation and existing equipment modifications. Responsible for the basic programming of PLC’s and related equipment. Responsible for coordinating with the production department, on proper time to efficiently repair and perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Coordinate with, and carry out the jobs assigned to the maintenance department with the Maintenance Manager. Responsible for standby call, for equipment problems. Work shift work if/when needed. Additional job functions as defined by management.

Experience:

  • Maintenance Mechanic: 3 years (Preferred)
