Job Summary: Plans, directs, organizes and carries out growth strategies in Industry Verticals served and New Businesses launched. Responsible for all facets of commercial banking within the Industry Verticals including advice, lending, treasury services, financial services, and mortgage. Responsible for portfolio soundness, profitability and growth and the development of sales strategies and tactics to best serve clients in Industry Verticals. Active in visible industry trade groups or community organizations to elevate the bank's brand and in the Industry Verticals the bank operates. Takes the lead role in analyzing market opportunity by industry, launching new vertical, and recruiting talent to build the banking practice in the target segment. Separately, partner with CEO and other executives to evaluate and launch new businesses to accelerate loan and deposit production. Also responsible for retention and expansion of existing client relationships, growth of total client assets, and net growth in relationships. Position reports to the CEO.
Responsibilities: Takes the lead in planning business goals for the bank in the Industry Verticals, particularly those relating to lending, treasury services and other revenue generating products. Prepares a business plan and operating budget annually and monitors actual versus planned result by vertical and by individual banker. Formulates and implements lending policy, underwriting criteria by industry and treasury services products and procedures within the Industry Verticals. Serves as senior client manager on key relationships and support other bankers in the Industry group on transactions for clients to ensure successful completion and management of bank risk and return. Actively participates and fosters strong ties to appropriate industry trade organizations or high profile community groups to build the bank's brand and cultivate business development leads. Oversees the leadership and manages activities of all personnel in the Industry Group and facilitates the training, career development and coaching of all staff in the Industry Group. Makes recommendations regarding new business initiative and leads the implementation and execution of new initiatives - current priorities are Street Shares, SBIC investment and PCBB BLP. Maintains accountability for loan risk ratings, delinquency and loan loss ratios within the objectives of the strategic plan. Is a member of senior management team and participates, as required, in board meetings, loan committees and corporate planning activities. Acquires and maintains the necessary working knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations in order to ensure compliance when selling Bank services and products.
Qualifications: Incumbent must have a four-year degree in Business, Finance or a related field of study. Master's Degree is preferred. Must have 7-10 years in a senior management position with experience in financial lending and expertise in all aspects of consumer, commercial and mortgage lending and member servicing. Incumbent must have a strong record of client development and industry or market leadership experience. Excellent analytical skills. Strong supervisory, team management, and leadership skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
