Longwood Gardens is seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager to provide highly skilled technical and administrative support to the Project Management Office and others within the Facilities Department. This individual will use project management skills to support the project managers with all phases and aspects of a project including meeting coordination and preparing meeting minutes, issuing project performance reports, communicating internally and externally with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders, and conducting frequent site visits to ensure compliance with owner's project requirements and Longwood's safety policies.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field and have a minimum of two to five years' proven track record in project management. Baseline knowledge and skills for the position include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong planning and organizational skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and experience using AutoCAD or similar computer aided design software. This position requires the ability to work outside in all weather conditions, enter confined spaces, stand and sit for extended periods, work on construction sites and wear required PPE.
