CRi is hiring a Program Manager for our adult day program in Chantilly, VA! The Program Manager leads the day-to-day operation of a dynamic day support program, providing direct support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities exhibiting high-intensity behaviors. This role ensures exceptional service delivery, compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, and CARF standards, and the implementation of person-centered plans in collaboration with each supported individual. Responsibilities include hands-on training and oversight of staff, quality assurance, crisis response, and community integration.
The Program Manager must effectively communicate and clearly articulate the organization’s mission and philosophy to all members of their program or service.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations, including scheduling staff to ensure coverage during operating hours and implementing program protocols.

Ensure compliance with DBHDS licensing and CARF accreditation standards.

Monitor daily documentation completion by all Life Coaches.

Administer medications in compliance with agency policies.
Clinical Implementation:
-
Serve as the initial point of contact and liaison for families and other providers of individuals supported.

Coordinate referrals, admissions, and discharges in cooperation with families, referring agencies, and providers.

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) following best practices.

Collaborate with adjunct specialists (Lead QIDP, BCBA, Program Nurse) and participate hands-on in activities, including recreation, art groups, horticulture, and community integration.

Implement positive behavior supports and communication strategies outlined in Individualized Behavior Support Plans.

Intervene and triage in crisis situations, requiring immediate assessment and rapid decision-making skills.
Community Integration:
-
Assist individuals in developing and expanding participation in community activities to build relationships, including connecting with businesses, organizations, and religious institutions.
- Develop volunteer opportunities and community-building strategies.
Quality Assurance and Improvement:

Implement a continuous quality improvement (CQI) program, including regular monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of services.

Conduct facility maintenance reviews to ensure compliance with established guidelines and take corrective action as needed.

Collect and analyze data on service outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
Health and Safety:

Maintain a safe, clean, and accessible environment in compliance with health and safety standards.

Develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans, including staff training and regular drills.
Employee Relations and Supervision:

Provide direct and hands-on supervision/instruction to staff through daily communications.

Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate policy and procedure changes, promote team building, and create a productive work environment.

Identify training needs, provide necessary job-related instruction, and monitor staff training compliance.

Ensure daily service notes are completed and submitted in Credible within the specified time fram.

Recommend or initiate disciplinary actions according to applicable rules and polices.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and complete records for each individual served, ensuring compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, and CARF standards.

Submit required reports and documentation promptly.
Rights and Advocacy:

Protect and promote the rights of individuals receiving services, ensuring they are informed of their rights and have access to advocacy services.

Provide services in a culturally competent manner, respecting the diversity of individuals served.
Program Evaluation:

Solicit and use feedback from individuals served, families, staff, and other stakeholders to evaluate and improve services.

Conduct regular performance analyses to assess program effectiveness and implement corrective actions as needed.
Financial Management:
-
Ensure sound financial management practices, including budget development and resource management.

Maintain accountability for program performance and compliance with financial regulations.
Other Job Functions:

Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
-
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
-
Minimum of five (5) years working with individuals having intellectual disabilities, preferably in a day program.

Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory/management experience in the human service/clinical field, preferably in a day program.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal, supervisory, and writing skills and experience with assessments, program development/coordination, budgets, crisis intervention, service planning, community relations, and public speaking.

Knowledge of high-intensity behavioral supports is a MUST.

Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:

Registered Behavior Technician certification or eligibility for training and subsequent certification.
Physical Demands:

Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and push a wheelchair.

Ability to be out in a variety of weather.

Ability to lift 70 pounds repetitively.
- Ability to implement strategic physical intervention techniques that require rapid physical movement.
Working Environment:
Indoor and Outdoor program site and various community locations. High-Intensity Day Program for individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and high-intensity support needs. Must use universal precautions.
Supervision Exercised:
Direct supervision of Life Coaches.
Indirect supervision of adjunct support staff (BCBA, Lead QIDP, Program Nurse).
Supervision Received:
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director.
