Summary
The Facilities Technician performs routine and extensive preventive maintenance and repair procedures in our facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Uses common hand and power tools such as hammers, drills, and wrenches.
2. Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
3. Performs routine preventive building maintenance duties.
4. Performs routine plumbing such as fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains.
5. Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing light fixtures.
6. Purchases supplies, equipment and materials necessary to complete projects.
7. Assembles and moves furniture, hangs frames and bulletin boards, moves and sets up tables and chairs.
8. Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures, patches holes in walls.
9. Paints interior and exterior walls.
10. Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
11. Travels to different centers to perform maintenance work as needed.
12. Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
13. Performs outside custodial duties such as sweeping the parking lot twice a day.
14. Performs all duties in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
15. Comply with all company polices.
16. Ensure that all HIPPA/OSHA standards are in compliance.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. At least one (1) year of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
3. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.

7. Must follow safety practices and recognize hazards.
8. Must be able to read and follow blueprints and assembly instructions.
Nature of Work
1. Job duties involve routine interaction with others. Contacts are generally non-confrontational.
2. Must take precautions to avoid dangerous situations that may arise while using ladders and power tools.
3. May be required to perform duties and responsibilities not listed in this description, on a temporary or long-term basis.
4. May work overtime and/or weekend hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
